I’ve previously mentioned leading retreats and taking young people to retreats. This week I get to do something I have little experience with. Being on retreat for myself.

I’ve said before that it is folly to think that we’re ever done growing. I expect that this week’s retreat will be rewarding, relaxing, eye-opening, and a terrific learning experience. I expect a few slap-in-the-face moments, because I am human – a sinner.

Please pray for all of the Directors of Religious Education and Youth Ministers in the Diocese of Charleston. Those who are making this retreat and those who aren’t. You’ll notice that I am doing a bit of ministry on this retreat as I’ll be providing some music – so pray that I’m an instrument only of God’s love through His Holy Spirit.
